I’m Catherine Finkernagel - Architect, Interior Designer and Studio Director with over 25 years of experience shaping homes across the UK, US and Europe. At the heart of my work is a simple belief learned early: home is about belonging.

Growing up, I moved often, learning first-hand how deeply spaces shape how we feel, how they can ground us or leave us unsettled. That understanding underpins everything I design and everything I offer through Spaces Refined.

After decades in practice, I know that while not every project needs a full design team, every homeowner does need structure, strategy, and access to someone who understands how architecture and interiors work together because a home is not just a space, but the life lived within it.
