Interior Architecture + Interior Design

Having outgrown their first home, our clients were ready for a different way of living. While this new house offered generous proportions and considerable potential, dark finishes, low ceilings and traditional decor and cellular layouts made it feel heavy, enclosed and disconnected from the needs of modern family life. They were looking for a home that felt lighter, brighter and better suited to the way they wanted to live.

THE approach

Revealing Potential

Covid was rampant and costs were rising so rather than start again, the design focused on uncovering and enhancing what was already there. Original features were restored, layouts were carefully reorganised and a series of subtle interventions introduced more light, flow and a greater sense of space. Dark finishes were removed, proportions were emphasised and a new kitchen, dining and living space became the heart of the home.

THE transformation

A New Experience

The house now feels brighter, calmer and more welcoming, balancing family life, entertaining and quiet retreat. Vintage pieces sourced and restored throughout the interiors bring warmth, character and individuality, while the improved layout creates a natural flow between spaces. The result is a home that feels both timeless and deeply personal, transformed not through wholesale change but through thoughtful refinement.
