THE STUDIO SESSIONS

Expert Guidance for the Moments that Matter in Your Renovation.

Architectural and interior design clarity, exactly when you need it: delivered one-to-one, with a calm, strategic process that helps you make decisions with confidence.

The Moment You’re In

Renovating a home should feel purposeful. Instead, it often becomes a maze - endless decisions, conflicting advice, layouts that almost work, and pressure from contractors to give answers you’re not ready to make.

You’ve done the research. You’ve saved the inspiration. You’ve tried to piece things together from Google, Instagram, Pinterest, magazines, and well-meaning friends. But none of it is remotely connected to your life, your home, or the way you hope to live. None of it solves your challenges or deals with your frustrations.

This is the point where projects quietly start to drift from their original vision, timeframe, and budget and you end up settling for less.

The Studio Sessions exist to stop that drift and bring your home back into focus.

Signs you’re ready
for a studio session

I.

You’re making decisions alone and second-guessing every one of them.

II.

Your layout almost works, but something fundamental still feels off.

III.

You’re overwhelmed by options and struggling to see a cohesive whole.

IV.

You’re preparing to brief a contractor and want to avoid costly mistakes.

V.

You can picture how you want to live, but not what that looks like in design terms.

VI.

You’re losing clarity on what comes next and need someone to look at the whole picture with you.

These are the moments when clarity matters most.

Why Guidance Matters

Renovations fail not because homeowners lack taste or ideas, but because they lack structure, the right sequence in which to make decisions, and access to experienced advice before momentum is lost.

Many homeowners don’t need a full-service team. They need thoughtful, strategic guidance at key points - enough to steer their project with confidence, avoid expensive rework, and make decisions that feel aligned and intentional.

This is the only way to work with me one-to-one, and the most efficient way to gain expert clarity when you need it most.

The Transformation

A cozy corner with a wooden chair with a cushioned seat and back, a round wooden side table holding a dark vase with green flowers, and a large potted plant near a glass partition door, with sunlight filtering through curtains.

After a Studio Session, you will walk away with:

  • A renewed sense of clarity

  • A roadmap for what to do and in what order

  • Layouts, ideas and decisions that feel coherent

  • Confidence in the choices you’re making

  • A design direction that reflects how you want to live, not just how you want your home to look

  • Less overwhelm, fewer mistakes, more intention

Design becomes calmer, lighter and more meaningful when the path is clear.

FAQs

  • Bring with you photos, floorplans, videos and inspiration images and your key questions ahead of time. The more you share, the more we can achieve and the more organised you are the more structured our sessions can be.

  • I can suggest ways to improve the flow and layout of your spaces, but any structural changes must be reviewed and signed off by a structural engineer.

  • Ideally, yes. A simple sketch or estate agent’s floorplan is perfectly fine.

  • No, the value of the session is in the clarity and the decisions we make together in real time.

  • That’s exactly what these sessions are designed for.  We can discuss that and tailor the agenda to suit.

  • It’s a powerful start, and many clients book additional sessions as their project progresses depending on the size of their project and what they need to get covered.

  • Spaces Refined is designed to support you as and when you need it, offering strategic guidance and expert insight.

But when projects require complex structural design, intensive technical detailing, specialist systems, or full on-site coordination, a full-service architectural or interiors team is the safer route.

Get in touch via email at catherine@spacesrefined.com if you’re unsure of the session for you.
